Alles in allem eine nützliche App. Aber: „reinigt in jeder App“ leider nein, taucht nicht im Teilen-Menü auf. Beispielsweise https ://applink.insta… wird nicht bereinigt.

Danke für den Hinweis und für die 4 Sterne. Du hast recht: „reinigt in jeder App“ war zu pauschal formuliert. Clean Links funktioniert nicht in jedem App-Flow gleich, weil es davon abhängt, was iOS im Teilen-Menü bzw. über Erweiterungen zulässt. Den applink.insta…-Fall habe ich notiert und ich werde die Beschreibung klarer machen. App does exactly what it says it does with no extra fluff or frills. It just works and that’s pretty refreshing these days. However, to the developer: when opening a cleaned link in browser I noticed it goes straight to Safari and this can’t be changed. I use Chrome as my default browser—never touch Safari. Being able to select your browser, or bare minimum have the app use the browser the user has selected as their “default browser” in their iPhone settings seems like a simple update/implementation. My two cents!

Thanks for the review! For privacy reasons, iOS does not provide an API for apps to find out what the users' default browser is. The latest version of the app (1.0.11), now detects if Chrome is installed on the device and adds a "Open in Chrome" button.

Solange habe ich nicht gewusst, dass auch Informationen im QR vorhanden sind, welche nur fürs unnötiges Datensammeln verwendet werden

Vielen Dank für die 5 Sterne! Es freut uns sehr, dass Clean Links hilft, sichtbar zu machen, was in QR-Codes und Links alles steckt, und unnötiges Tracking zu vermeiden.

Useful app, does what it says. My most frequent usage is sharing links so it will be helpful if the UI can be updated such that the Share button is bigger (it's so small I initially missed it first time round). Right now Open in Safari is the largest and I keep clicking that accidentally when I just want to share a clean link.

Thank you for adding the copy button I requested — it’s a great improvement! Bug: When editing a cleaned URL, entering a space shows "%20" and pressing Enter shows "%0A". After that, entering spaces, line breaks, or deletions causes unexpected characters to appear instead of behaving normally. Possible bug: When both the original URL and the cleaned URL are displayed in the app, pressing the paste button and pasting a new URL updates only the original URL — the cleaned URL does not appear. Environment: Device: iPhone 16 (iOS 26.0.1) App version: 1.0.9

I was getting tired of stripping long UTMs from news and other app links when posting on discord. At first this app seemed like it was just for QR Codes (which is also something that’s always bothered me with iPhone) but it also lets you grab copy links from apps and websites and quickly strip the parameters. Only thing that could be better is if it had the option to put the link in the clipboard in one click, but perhaps iOS prevents that? But this is still way quicker, easier and more accurate than trying to delete them manually every time. And it’s free, they don’t track you or steal your data like almost every other app seems to want to do these days. It’s a privacy advocates dream app! Thank you to the devs!
