See what people say about Clean Links

... the ability on iOS to be used in the share sheet and to return a new share sheet popup. Lots of apps export a link full of cruft; being able to send it to clean links, *then* to the intended destination, would be a dream come true.

This app is very important for privacy, these apps don’t exist in the app store, so this is a rare find. Removes youtube and amazon tracking urls, amazing! Thank you!

Works perfectly to stop YouTube taking. I expect I’ll be using this app quite a lot

So pumped for the new Mac app! I’ve tried recreating it myself with shortcuts and it’s just not the same! Such a great app. Thanks for all your hard work!

Works well and is without ads itself. Thanks!

Thanks for a great tool! However, could you please look into a few bugs on iOS? (I couldn’t find a feedback form in-app) 1) the share sheet UI can leave in xpid parameters in Amazon 2) the Safari extension often doesn’t work. After pressing the button, the UI just flashes but there’s no message indicating any links were cleaned—which can be confirmed by inspecting hyperlinks on the page. This also happens on Amazon.

Nowadays with all possible tracking of your data its essential to have an app like that installed on every device by default. Huge thanks to developers !

Want to get rid of trackers and other non-necessities attached to your shared links from YouTube, etc? Use this app. It does as advertised. And, the developer makes other apps that are equally as wonderful and are not slop. Give it a try, it’s free. 😋

Seemed to all then gone

Thanks for the review. Is there anything we can do to improve the app for you?

It occasionally leaves a dangling piece but saves me a bunch of editing before I send links to others or when posting online.

If you want to remain more anonymous online sharing links from copy/paste this is the way

Thank you so much for the 5 stars and the thoughtful review. We're really glad Clean Links helps you share links in a cleaner, more private way.

App does exactly what it says it does with no extra fluff or frills. It just works and that’s pretty refreshing these days. However, to the developer: when opening a cleaned link in browser I noticed it goes straight to Safari and this can’t be changed. I use Chrome as my default browser—never touch Safari. Being able to select your browser, or bare minimum have the app use the browser the user has selected as their “default browser” in their iPhone settings seems like a simple update/implementation. My two cents!

Thanks for the review! For privacy reasons, iOS does not provide an API for apps to find out what the users' default browser is. The latest version of the app (1.0.11), now detects if Chrome is installed on the device and adds a "Open in Chrome" button.

Useful app, does what it says. My most frequent usage is sharing links so it will be helpful if the UI can be updated such that the Share button is bigger (it's so small I initially missed it first time round). Right now Open in Safari is the largest and I keep clicking that accidentally when I just want to share a clean link.

Thank you for adding the copy button I requested — it’s a great improvement! Bug: When editing a cleaned URL, entering a space shows "%20" and pressing Enter shows "%0A". After that, entering spaces, line breaks, or deletions causes unexpected characters to appear instead of behaving normally. Possible bug: When both the original URL and the cleaned URL are displayed in the app, pressing the paste button and pasting a new URL updates only the original URL — the cleaned URL does not appear. Environment: Device: iPhone 16 (iOS 26.0.1) App version: 1.0.9

We are glad you like it.

Thx for the app. The tracking links are nonsense and there is now an easy way to clean them, without doin on your own. Thx for that.

Thank you for using Clean Links! We appreciate the 5-star review.

I was getting tired of stripping long UTMs from news and other app links when posting on discord. At first this app seemed like it was just for QR Codes (which is also something that’s always bothered me with iPhone) but it also lets you grab copy links from apps and websites and quickly strip the parameters. Only thing that could be better is if it had the option to put the link in the clipboard in one click, but perhaps iOS prevents that? But this is still way quicker, easier and more accurate than trying to delete them manually every time. And it’s free, they don’t track you or steal your data like almost every other app seems to want to do these days. It’s a privacy advocates dream app! Thank you to the devs!

Nice little app to clean and link to send to others. Free but does its job very well. Thanks to the dev

Top App.

Works good overall - I’d you to add the possibility to immediately share the link again. Just opening the iOS-native share context again.

Thank you for your feedback. We have shipped an update that lets you share the link immediately from the Share Sheet.

Extrem schlichte Aufmachung und Integration in Kurzbefehle. TOP 👍🏻

Great option for QR codes, but really needs a way to prevent automatically expanding short links. This can still attribute a click to you if the original URL was targeted or shared only to you.

Developer

Thanks for the thoughtful feedback. You’re right that some short links require a network request to resolve. Clean Links only does that when the final destination cannot be determined from the URL alone, which is common with URL shorteners and some ad-network redirects. Those requests go directly from your device to the destination, not through our servers, and we do not log the links you clean. We also use isolated requests with no persisted cookies or browsing history, and we strip tracking parameters before and after redirects. We mention this in our FAQ under “Is this really local?” Edit: Based on your feedback, we've added an "Allow network requests" toggle in the app settings and for shortcuts. I hope that addresses this issue. If not, please feel free to get in touch with us on Discord or X (@CleanLinksApp) or email us at [email protected]

Hace bien su trabajo en 2 clicas

Amazing app. Just needs a whitelist option please.

I really enjoy the service this app provides. Makes it very easy to strip identifying parameters out of URLs and helps decipher URL shortener links. I also use their shortcut as one of the widgets on my Lock screen to read QR codes from the camera, and the app works very well in this regard too. Regular updates, easy to use, fast results - bravo.

it works great and i recommend it!! why doesn’t the sound effect change even though i change it the settings?

Thanks for the review, and the bug report. We’ve managed to reproduced it and have fixed it in the latest app update (1.0.7).

I was looking everywhere for a safari extension that automatically strips out tracking junk from links. I searched and saw this one but it didn’t mention that it has a feature to automatically monitor your clipboard and automatically clean links! This is your killer feature and I would add an image preview for it! Great app!

What a great little app. Drop dead simple and does exactly what you need with no fuss.

Thanks so much! We're thrilled you're loving Clean Links and that it's hitting the mark for what you need. Link cleaning can be a bit of a cat and mouse game as trackers keep evolving. If you ever run into a link that doesn't clean properly, don't hesitate to reach out to us on Discord, X, or Reddit.
